OUTPATIENT MENTAL HEALTH PROGRAM

COMPREHENSIVE, TRAUMA INFORMED CARE IN AN INTENSIVE VIRTUAL GROUP AND INDIVIDUAL FORMAT

The Virtual Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) at A&S Counseling is a multifaceted, trauma-informed program designed for individuals who need more support than traditional once-a-week therapy.

This program is built for people struggling with anxiety, panic, depression, anger, emotional overwhelm, or trauma-related symptoms — especially when things don’t seem to be improving despite effort.

Our approach goes beyond simply talking about problems.

We integrate trauma-informed care with a range of psychoeducational and therapeutic approaches to help you understand what is happening in your nervous system, how patterns develop, and why certain reactions keep repeating.

This includes:

  • Nervous system education (fight, flight, freeze, fawn)
  • Trauma-focused care
  • EMDR-informed resourcing and stabilization skills
  • Cognitive and behavioral strategies
  • Mindfulness-based approaches
  • Practical, evidence-based regulation tools
  • Real-life application and skill-building

The goal is not just insight — but change.

Program Structure

  • The program is designed to provide consistent, structured support throughout the week
  • 3 group sessions per week
  • (Monday, Wednesday, Thursday | 6:00–9:00 PM)
  • 1 individual therapy session per week
  • Focused on personalized support, deeper processing, and application
  • This combination allows for both group-based learning and individual attention — helping reinforce progress, build momentum, and create real stability over time.
